Who I am: Katrina
About me: I am an interior designer.. I design as both a career and hobby. I just love interiors and creativity.
My design style: I would describe my design style as Parisian chic and evolving. I love light bright rooms with soft colors, a mix of modern and old world design, and rich fabrics. I am loving pink, grey, and white right now, but I am always ready for the next best thing. I love a traditional chair in a fun modern fabric, or a modern white sofa surrounded by worn linens and floral prints.
About my blog: I hope to share my ideas on great design, what I am loving in design today, common questions I get from design clients and my answers, and design tips I have acquired from my experience.

Hey there,
I love your blog… found you on my favorite desire to inspire.
I will be starting one soon. I am an American from NY
moved to North Carolina (my favorite place for great interior shopping) I am currently living in Sweden with my husband who is Swedish.
I studied as a French major at the Sorbonne in Paris.
The French did not go as well as the development and refinement for the appreciation of French interior style.
Living in Europe has its style challenges. For the most part with respect to set design. I like you have collected many movies, as well as view many shows because of the beauty of the sets. I believe inspiration is everywhere.
I just wanted to say love your style and your blog.
I will be sending word out about my blog soon and yours will be on my top ten list of must sees.
Thank you for your inspiration and your creativity
Looking forward to being Partners in Creativity

I am a North Carolina girl myself. I hope you really like NC, I know I did. My favorite place to shop too. I ask myself a lot how they got all the great shopping. Good luck with your blog and let me know as soon as you have it up. I look forward to it.
Hello,
I just wanted to drop a line to let you know I absolutely love your blog.
I am an architect (just graduated) from Romania and I came across your page looking for inspiration for my new little home which is being built at the moment and which I have to start decorating soon.
I was amazed by how much of my own personal taste is in everything I saw here, from the style of the interiors to the colors (I’m hugely into grey, black and white right now) and even to the little bit of architecture you featured (I would soooo design myself a Cullens’ style house if I could afford it).
Anyway, I will keep coming back often for inspiration and useful advice for my home, so thank you for the ideas and I wish you all the best!

My name is Ali and I work for Robert and Cortney Novogratz at Sixx Design. Robert and Cortney read many design blogs and really like yours! A little bit about Sixx Design…Robert and Cortney create sumptuous, well-designed spaces from wrecks and empty lots, crafting distinctive architectural details throughout. Sixx Design recently completed their first non-residential project, Bungalow, a 24 room hotel on the Jersey Shore. Additionally, Sixx Design just came out with their first book, Downtown Chic. We would love to send you a complimentary copy of the book for your review if you are interested. They are really trying to promote their book and would love it if you would be interested in posting about it on your blog! Stay on the lookout for Cortney and Robert, as they (in addition to their seven children) will be on a reality tv show on Bravo called Nine by Design that is slated to air in April. I look forward to hearing from you and would love to send you a copy of the book for review on your blog. (Also, you can check out their website to view some of their projects at sixxdesign.com).

Hi Katrina,
I’m working on two style/design books to be published in October by The Vendome Press. Here’s some more information about each:
Peter Pennoyer Architects: Apartments, Townhouses, Country Houses by Anne Walker:
For over 20 years, Peter Pennoyer Architects has designined elegant, classically based homes in both urban and country settings influenced by what Pennoyer calls “classicism with a twist.” The firm’s projects, distinguished by an inventive spirit and a thorough grasp of architectural history, are impressively diverse–ranging from a triplex on New York’s Fifth Avenue, to a Virginia farmhouse, to a house on the coast of Maine, to a ranch in New Mexico. This book explores–though lavish photography–20 of the firm’s projects. Here’s a link to an online PDF: http://issuu.com/vendomepress/docs/ppa_proof/1?viewMode=presentation
The Irish Country House by Desmond FitzGerald, Knight of Glin, and James Peill
A land of legend and lore, Ireland is also home to some of the most breathtaking residences in the world, ten of which are explored in The Irish Country House. The book tours these historical homes and castles, all of which are still owned and lived in by the original families. From cabinets filled with monogrammed china to cabbage-rose slip-covered sofas nestled beneath tall Gothic windows, to lavish living rooms and bedrooms, each home reflects the multi-generations of the families who have lived there. Here’s a link to an online PDF: http://issuu.com/vendomepress/docs/ich_proof/15?viewMode=presentation
Please let me know if you’re interested in receiving a copy of either of these books to consider for review in “Design Fabulous.” I’m also happy to send you digital files of photos from these books.
Best wishes,
Meghan
